PET GROOMING · TIME AND PRICE

Reserve the right grooming time and explain what the price covers

Collect the details needed for a grooming slot, route uncertain duration or suitability to staff and manage repeat bookings clearly.

In this guide

Prepare a realistic service catalogue

A grooming appointment needs enough time for the service and the individual animal. Supply the business’s rules for size, service type, known coat needs and when the groomer must assess the request. Do not treat a starting price as a confirmed bespoke quote.

  • Map standard services to staff, duration and any required resources.
  • Agree the details needed to identify the pet and authorised owner.
  • Explain deposits, collection arrangements and how changes to scope are approved.

Confirm the time and the price basis

Offer a slot only when the request fits the approved rules. If duration, suitability or price is uncertain, capture the enquiry for the groomer. Explain any assessment requirement before the customer pays.

Save the agreed booking and include the service, date, drop-off arrangements and deposit status in the confirmation. Keep the collection message separate; send it only when the team marks the pet ready, rather than assuming the estimated end time is exact.

Test a longer or unsuitable request

Use an example where the owner adds another service after booking. The workflow should recheck duration and price approval before committing the groomer’s time. Suitability decisions follow the business’s own policy.

  • Book two pets with different service lengths without merging their records.
  • Handle a late collection or missed appointment through the agreed staff route.
  • Check that a review request follows a completed service, not a cancelled booking.

Measure useful capacity

Track correctly timed bookings, completed grooms, unused slots, overruns and manual repricing. Review repeat visits separately from new enquiries. Compare the contribution from completed work after delivery costs, payment fees and additional support time; a full diary alone does not establish profit.

Start with the scope you need

Start with a small catalogue of services the groomer is happy to book directly. Add Pay for agreed deposits and Trust only after the completion event is reliable.

Optional additions

Your proposal confirms inclusions, product tiers, supported actions and setup costs. Related products are not automatically added to a package.
