Keep website prices and answers aligned with your business
Turn recurring questions into approved website answers, with an owner, a reliable source and a clear enquiry or booking route.
In this guide
Choose the information customers need to decide
Start with one service page and the questions your team answers repeatedly: what the appointment covers, where it takes place, its current price and how to enquire. Take question themes from conversations, remove personal details and write a fresh answer for the public page.
- Name the owner who approves service descriptions and prices.
- Identify the current source for each fact, including location-specific differences.
- Record when each answer should be checked again and who can withdraw it.
Publish a complete, consistent answer
Give the service a clear name, explain its scope and show the relevant next action. Keep a “from” price tied to what that amount actually includes. Make separate location pages only where hours, services, teams or practical details differ.
Write for the customer’s question and use structured information that matches the visible page. Google’s guidance favours useful, reliable content prepared for readers. Publishing many near-identical pages does not make the information more useful.
Test a change before relying on automatic updates
Change an approved test price and check the page, enquiry journey and conversational answer. Confirm whether your setup updates automatically, waits for approval or needs manual publication. If the source cannot be reached, agree whether to retain a dated answer, remove it or route the question to staff.
- Check the page on a phone, including long service names and booking links.
- Remove a service and check that old links give a useful next step.
- Check that a private conversation or draft answer cannot appear on a public page.
Measure accuracy and useful enquiries
Review outdated-answer incidents, broken journeys and enquiries that reach a relevant next step. Compare equivalent page periods using your own enquiry and booking records. Search rankings and AI mentions are not guaranteed by clearer content, structured data or a particular model. Keep improving the information customers actually use.
